YB Tuan Mustapha Sakmud, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Human Resources, recently visited China on an official trip organized by the Asia China Education and Culture (ACEC) Association. The delegation toured leading universities and enterprises in Suzhou (Jiangsu Province) and Guilin (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) to explore advanced TVET models and promote scientific and technological collaboration.

✅ Suzhou: Education-Industry Integration
At Suzhou City University and Suzhou Collaborative Innovation Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Co., Ltd., the team saw how China integrates education with industry—especially in AI, digital economy, and smart manufacturing—offering new ideas for Malaysia’s own TVET development.
✅ Guilin: Health-Tech and Innovation
The delegation visited Guilin Medical University and Guilin University of Electronic Technology, engaging in meaningful discussions on talent exchange and vocational innovation. A key highlight was the launch of the China-ASEAN Big Health Industry Research Institute, a collaborative effort focused on talent training and innovation in the health sector.
They also visited the Guihai Qinglan Health Resort and the Huajiang Smart Valley project, which demonstrated successful partnerships between academia and industry in health tech.
