[Malaysia] ACEC and the Belt and Road Cross-Cultural Industry-Academia-Research Alliance jointly launched a master-doctorate program 【马来西亚篇】ACEC联合一带一路跨文化产学研联盟共同推出硕博连读项目

With the launch of RCEP, China and ASEAN have become each other's number one trading partners, and Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand have welcomed China's huge investment and industrial transfer. In this context, there is a strong demand for high-level talents who adapt to the local environment and provide services for institutions and enterprises going overseas along the Belt and Road.

ACEC establishes overseas teaching centers and overseas internship bases between Chinese and ASEAN universities to provide the latest technology applications and hardware support for the internationalisation of universities and introduction of international high-quality courses and cultivate urgently needed talents for enterprises. After 1-1.5 years of studying for a master’s degree, you can quickly obtain a degree, and then you can apply for full scholarships from top international universities such as the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University in the form of combined master’s and doctoral studies.

At the same time, ACEC combines scientific research with the internationalization of industrial standards and cooperates to establish overseas Industry-Academia-Research bases. By promoting communication and exchanges between institutions and overseas governments, universities, and enterprises, ACEC introduces international industry-academia-research cooperation projects, we provide students with opportunities for international study visits and international internships. Students who have accumulated practical experience in operating projects in large international enterprises will have more opportunities to join overseas state-owned enterprises and Fortune 500 companies.

01 Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia 马来西亚国立大学

The Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is the third-ranked university in Malaysia and one of the five research universities in Malaysia. The National University has two campuses. The main school is located in Bangi New Town, Selangor, about 35 kilometers away from Kuala Lumpur. The branch campus is located in Kuala Lumpur. The urban area covers an area of 19.9 hectares. UKM is a very famous university in Southeast Asia and even the world. Its diplomas and academic qualifications are widely recognized internationally. In 2023 QS, it ranked 129th in the world, surpassing Beijing Foreign Studies University. It is also ranked 33rd in the QS Asia University Rankings 2023.

02 Universiti Sains Malaysia 马来西亚理科大学

The Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a top comprehensive research university with outstanding science, engineering, and medicine. It is one of the three most prestigious senior research universities in Malaysia. In 2023, it ranked 143rd in the QS World University Rankings. It is ranked higher than Beijing Foreign Studies University.

马来西亚理科大学是一所科学、工程、医学等学科突出的顶尖综合性研究型大学，是马来西亚三所最著名的资深研究类大学之一，2023年QS世界大学排名第143 名。排名超过北京外国语大学。

03 Universiti Teknologi Mara 玛拉工艺大学

Universiti Teknologi MARA (referred to as UiTM), is a public university in Malaysia certified by the Ministry of Education's China foreign affairs supervision network. Founded in 1956, UiTM has become the largest university in Malaysia with the largest number of students and the largest number of campuses. There are 170,000 students and 17,000 employees. It has 13 main campuses and 21 satellite campuses. The university currently has 163 master's programs and 55 Ph.D. programs. All the disciplines of UiTM are certified by the Malaysian Disciplinary Quality Agency, and the science and engineering major has a very high status and influence in Malaysia and the world. The university is ranked 4th in Malaysia by QS World University Ranking 2023 for Sustainable Development. 04 Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia 敦胡先翁大学

Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (referred to as UTHM), was established in 1993. It is a public university in Malaysia certified by the Ministry of Education of China's Foreign Affairs Supervision Network. The school is located in Batu Pahat, Johor, the hometown of the late third Prime Minister Tun Hussein Onn. It is about 1.5 hour drive from Singapore and about 3 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. The principal is the Sultan of Johor. Mainly focused on engineering and technology, UTHM is the only public university in Malaysia with a flight training academy and airport and the only one with a degree in railroad engineering. In addition, UTHM is also the only university in Southeast Asia that can obtain degrees or licenses in flight or aircraft maintenance. There are more than 17,000 students at UTHM, including international students from 32 countries around the world, and currently, more than 70% of the teaching staff in 8 colleges have doctoral degrees in various disciplines of qualification. UTHM was rated as a five-star university by QS Stars University Rating in 2019. In 2023, the QS World University Rankings ranks 1001st and 236th in Asia, which is comparable to Jiangnan University, Nanjing Normal University, and Ocean University of China. 马来西亚敦胡先翁大学 (University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia) 简称“敦大”，成立于1993年，是中国教育部涉外监管网认证的马来西亚公立大学。学校坐落在已故的第三任首相敦胡先翁的故乡-柔佛州巴株巴辖，距新加坡约1.5小时车程，距吉隆坡约3小时车程，校长为柔佛苏丹。敦大（UTHM）主要专注于工程和技术，是马来西亚唯一拥有飞行训练学院和机场以及唯一拥有铁路工程学位的公立大学。除此之外敦大也是东南亚唯一可获取飞行学位、执照或飞机维修学位、执照的大学。敦大在校学生有17000多人，来自世界各地32个国家的留学生，目前8个学院70%以上的教职员工拥有各学科资格的博士学位。敦大在2019年被QS Stars University Rating 评定为五星级大学。2023年QS世界大学排名第1001位、亚洲排名第236位，与江南大学、南京师范大学、中国海洋大学排名相当。在 2015、2017 和 2018 年的机械、航空和制造工程学科在QS世界大学排名中名列前300名。

05 Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris  国立师范大学

Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI for short), is the only national comprehensive education university in Malaysia. The name of school is named after the supreme head of state of the country. It was founded on November 29, 1922, as the Royal University of Education, and successive princesses served as the honorary president of the university. The number of existing students exceeds 30,000, including international students from more than 20 countries. There are more than 2,000 teachers of all levels, and it employs more than 30 scientific experts from various fields around the world to support the university's teaching and research work.

苏丹依德理斯教育大学, 又称马来西亚国立师范大学（Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris，简称 UPSI），是马来西亚唯一一所国立综合性教育大学。学校名称以国家最高元首命名，创立于1922年11月29 日，其前身是皇室教育大学，由历代王妃担任大学荣誉校长。现有学生人数超过3万人，其中有来自20多个国家的留学生。各级各类教师2000余人，同时聘请了30 多位世界各领域的科学人才助力大学教学科研工作。
