On June 16, 2025, engineering students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Advance Industry Exposure Program held in Suzhou, China. The event marked the official start of a week-long academic and industrial immersion focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Industry 4.0.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the host Chinese university, who welcomed the UiTM delegation and emphasized the importance of international academic exchange and innovation collaboration. Representing UiTM, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Norbaya Binti Haji Sidek, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, delivered remarks expressing gratitude and enthusiasm for the partnership.

As part of the cultural immersion, the group also visited the historic Taipingfang Mosque located in the Shilu area of Suzhou, gaining a deeper appreciation for the city’s multicultural heritage.

In the coming days, the students will engage in a series of site visits and industry-focused sessions with leading Chinese companies in the fields of AI and IR4.0, providing them with valuable exposure to cutting-edge technologies and practical applications in real-world settings.

This program is jointly coordinated by the Asia China Education and Culture Association (ACEC Association) and the Belt and Road Industry-Academia Collaboration Center (BRICC), aiming to strengthen academic-industry ties between China and Malaysia.
