In the mid of May, The South-East Asia Hainan-Hongkong Express Cable System (SEA-H2X) comes into force. The SEA-H2X cable system consists of at least 8-fiber pairs between Hong Kong SAR and Singapore, with a design capacity of 160 Tbps to meet the growing bandwidth requirement in the region. This submarine cable connects Hong Kong SAR China, Hainan China, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia (Borneo Island), and Singapore, with options to extend to Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia Peninsula, and Indonesia. The SEA-H2X cable system is targeted to be ready-for-service in 2024, which will effectively meet the demand for network bandwidth and high-speed connectivity in Asia, helping to build a new network ecosystem for 5G evolution, providing a greater boost to the flourishing ASEAN digital industry.

5月中旬，东南亚海南-香港高速电缆系统（SEA-H2X）开始生效。SEA-H2X电缆系统由香港特别行政区和新加坡之间的至少8对光纤组成，设计容量为160 Tbps，以满足该地区日益增长的带宽需求。这条海底电缆连接香港特区政府、中国海南、菲律宾、泰国、马来西亚（婆罗洲岛）和新加坡，并可选择延伸到越南、柬埔寨、马来西亚半岛和印度尼西亚。SEA-H2X电缆系统的目标是在2024年投入使用，这将有效地满足亚洲地区对网络带宽和高速连接的需求，有助于为5G的进化建立一个新的网络生态系统，为蓬勃发展的东盟数字产业提供更大的推动。

The China-Asean 5G & IR 4.0 Summit Forum, a joint venture between Asian-China Education & Culture (ACEC) Association and Huawei, China's leading global provider of Information and communications technology, was successfully held at Huawei Technology Centre Kuala Lumpur this Saturday at 10am. The combined online and offline forum attracted many scholars and experts from the ASEAN countries to join the event. This was a fantastic platform to share and learn more about the technology wave’s innovation and talent upgrading opportunities!

由亚洲一带一路文化教育合作协会和中国全球领先的信息和通信技术供应商华为公司联合举办的中国-东盟5G & IR4.0高峰论坛于本周六上午10点在吉隆坡华为技术中心成功举行。这个线上和线下相结合的论坛吸引了许多来自东盟国家的学者和专家参加活动。这是一个非常好的平台，让大家分享和了解更多关于科技浪潮的创新和人才提升的机会!

This forum was guaranteed to bring scholars and experts fruitful knowledge about the new wave of technology from various perspectives. Among the discussions, the Huawei Industry-Academia-Research Innovation Showcase was definitely the focal point:

With 5G accelerating the development of Industry Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0), co-organiser Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) keeps working together with ACEC and Huawei to provide an international research collaboration platform for the development of local Industry 4.0 in Malaysia.

As an internationally acclaimed institution of learning, UiTM has taken that approach, capitalizing on the chance to provide an international research platform for Malaysian IR4.0 development by:

• Bringing in professionals from various fields to share the knowledge and skills required to improve Malaysia’s technology development landscape
• Introducing mature technology application courses to develop globally competitive talent for the 5G era.
• Through an industrial-academia-research cooperative alliance, students and academics could study and work abroad.

随着5G加速工业革命4.0（IR4.0）的发展，协办方玛拉工艺大学（UiTM）不断与ACEC和华为合作，为IR 4.0的发展提供一个国际研究合作平台。

作为国际知名的学习机构，UiTM采取了这种方式，利用机会为马来西亚的IR 4.0发展提供一个国际研究平台，具体做法是:

引进各领域的专业人士，分享改善马来西亚技术发展状况所需的知识和技能。

引入成熟的技术应用课程，为5G时代培养具有全球竞争力的人才。

通过产学研合作联盟，学生和学者可以在国外学习和工作。

This was a series of events initiated by the China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation. Following the first China-Asean Smart City Forum, which received an overwhelming response from international scholars and experts, the second forum featured an even more distinguished line-up of speakers!

The forum was also co-organised by the Asia Centre for Leadership and Civilisation, the Malaysian Institute of Transport (Mitrans), the Belt and Road Initiative Cross-Cultural Centre (BRICC),  and other renowned organisations. All parties collaborate to build a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary and deep-rooted international cooperation in science and technology, to achieve the goals of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), by promoting science and technology innovation and regional economic prosperity.

这是由中国-东盟大学电子信息创新联盟发起的系列活动。继第一届中国-东盟智慧城市论坛得到国际学者和专家的热烈响应后，第二届论坛的演讲者阵容更加强大！

本次论坛还由亚洲领导力与文明中心、马来西亚交通学院（Mitrans）、"一带一路 "倡议跨文化中心（BRICC）等知名机构共同举办。各方通力合作，通过促进科技创新和区域经济繁荣，构建全方位、多领域、深层次的国际科技合作，实现区域全面经济伙伴关系协定（RCEP）的目标。
