From 15 to 31 December, the Asia China Education and Culture (ACEC) Association, together with a delegation of visiting scholars from Jiangsu, China, carried out an academic and cultural exchange programme in Malaysia. The programme formed part of ACEC's ongoing efforts to promote structured cooperation between Chinese and Malaysian higher education institutions through scholar mobility and institutional engagement.

As part of the programme, the delegation visited Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and held an in-depth discussion session with the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Technology and Engineering. The meeting focused on academic development, applied research collaboration, and potential frameworks for visiting scholar programmes, joint supervision, and technology-oriented talent cultivation.

The delegation also visited the Cheng Ho Cultural Museum Melaka, where members gained deeper insights into the historical connections between China and Malaysia and the long-standing foundations of people-to-people exchange. The cultural visit complemented the academic agenda by situating contemporary educational cooperation within a broader historical and civilisational context.

In addition, the visiting scholars conducted a series of guest lectures at different faculties of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). These lectures covered discipline-specific topics and shared Chinese higher education practices, research experiences, and applied case studies, facilitating direct academic interaction with UiTM faculty members and students.

Through institutional visits, academic dialogues, and cultural exchanges, the programme strengthened mutual trust and practical understanding between participating institutions. ACEC reaffirmed its role as a platform for China–ASEAN educational cooperation and expressed its intention to further expand visiting scholar programmes, joint academic activities, and sustainable university partnerships in the coming years.
