Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Visitation to ACEC Association; 玛拉工艺大学副校长一行访问吉隆坡ACEC产学研中心

On 2nd September 2022, the Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry, Community & Alumni Network (ICAN)), Director (Department of International Affairs (DIA)), and Dean (Akademi Pengajian Bahasa (APB)) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) visited the ACEC Industry-University-Research Centre in Kuala Lumpur and met with Mr. Yang Chengcheng, Executive Director of the ACEC Association. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral culture, art and other fields between China and Malaysia.

The two sides will launch an online and offline cross-cultural exchange project between China and Malaysia in September, a China-Malaysia youth leadership event, and invite the Malaysian government and the National Art Gallery of Malaysia to jointly prepare a China-Malaysia cultural and art exhibition. The event will include inviting the Chinese ambassador to Malaysia, the Malaysian higher education and the minister to be present. UiTM and ACEC are committed to promoting international industry-academia-research collaboration between China and RCEP countries headed by Malaysia, helping China and ASEAN countries to enhance mutual understanding, as well as promoting collaboration between governments, universities, and enterprises.

Prof. Dr. Mohamad Hariri Abdullah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of ICAN, UiTM, said that although China and Malaysia have different cultural backgrounds, the Baba and Nyonya cultures in Melaka and Penang are the product of the fusion of Chinese and Malaysian cultures. Therefore, while enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries, this can also be used as an entry point to promote the in-depth integration of the cultures of China and Malaysia. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Shahriman Zainal Abidin, the Assistant Vice-Chancellor of UiTM in charge of international collaboration, Dr. Hjh Zainab Mohd Noor, the Director of DIA, and Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Janudin Sardi, the Dean of APB jointly participated in the meeting. The two sides conducted in-depth bilateral cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation.

2022年9月2日，玛拉工艺大学（Universiti Teknologi MARA）的副校长、助理副校长一行人到访吉隆坡ACEC产学研中心，与亚洲一带一路文化教育合作促进会（ACEC Association）执行会长杨程成先生会面，就中国与马来西亚双边的文化、艺术等领域互相交流。

双方将在9月启动线上线下结合中马跨文化交流项目、中马青年领袖活动、并邀请马来西亚政府与国家艺术馆共同筹备中马文化艺术展，活动将邀请中国驻马来西亚大使与马来西亚高等教育部部长出席。UiTM与ACEC共同致力于促进中国与以马来西亚为首的RCEP国家的国际产学研合作，帮助中国与东盟国家双边互相增进了解，促进政府、高校、企业多方面合作。

玛拉工艺大学的副校长哈礼理教授表示，虽然中国与马来西亚拥有不同的文化背景，但马六甲和槟城的峇峇娘惹文化却是中马文化交融下的产物。因此，在增进双边互相了解同时时，也可以以此作为切入点，推动中马两国文化的深度融合。在此次会面中，玛拉工艺大学主管国际合作的助理校长沙理曼、国际部主任扎伊娜、外语学院院长扎努汀共同参加会谈，双方就双边的文化与艺术交流合作进行了深入沟通。
